The best part about eating fresh and clean is eating in season! Well folks, cherry season is upon us, so eat your hearts out. This Chocolate Cherry Chia pudding is a great way to kick off the season. 

I am always pleasantly surprised by how delicious chocolate and cherry are together. It seems like an unlikely pair, yet it proves me wrong every time. 

With this simple Chocolate Cherry Chia pudding recipe all you need are 6 simple ingredients. The best part about this recipe is that it is vegan, high in protein and fiber and naturally sweetened. 

Chia pudding is always a good go-to because it is insanely easy to make and ready in minutes. My kids are convinced that I am feeding them dessert when I serve this Chocolate Cherry Chia Pudding in particular.  

So, grab a basket of fresh cherries and blend your way to a nutritious and satisfying recipe. 

Ingredients 

1 cup of pitted fresh cherries

¼ cup + 1 TBSP chia seeds

1 cup non-dairy milk 

2 tsp maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla

1 scoop chocolate protein powder 

Instructions 

  1. Using a blender, blend cherries, ¼ cup chia seeds, milk, syrup, and vanilla until well blended. 
  2. Pour blend into a glass bowl or jar and add protein powder along with 1 TBSP of chia seeds. 
  3. Stir pudding until protein powder is mixed. 
  4. Store in fridge until ready to eat.
