Who doesn’t love the sound of a Healthy Snickers Bar? If you are a chocolate lover but looking for a healthy alternative to the classic chocolate bars, you must try this Healthy Snickers Bar recipe. 

With only 5 ingredients, no processed sugar, gluten-free and vegan possibilities, this recipe is sure to be approved and enjoyed by all.

If you are someone who looks for a little treat after dinner to complete the meal, this is the perfect dessert to have on hand. It is chocolatey, chewy, nutty and caramel all in one bite. 

This Healthy Snickers Bar is the perfect way to end a meal. It can satisfy any craving that your stomach is begging you for. I also love this recipe because I will happily feed it to my kids knowing that the ingredients are all healthy and natural.

Ingredients

1 cup pitted dates 

1 cup walnuts

¼ cup chopped peanuts

100g dark chocolate (Can use vegan chocolate!)

1 tbsp natural peanut butter

Sprinkle of sea salt 

Instructions 

  1. In a food processor, blend the walnuts and dates until it creates a paste-like consistency which will take approximately 3-5 minutes. 
  2. Add wax paper to a 3×8” pan (or any loaf -sized pan) and press the dough firmly and evenly into the pan. 
  3. Add the chopped peanuts on top of the date layer and press them in using a spoon to lightly smooth over and refrigerate for approximately 15 minutes
  4. Meanwhile, add chocolate and peanut butter to a microwave proof bowl and slowly melt in the microwave checking and stirring every 20-30 seconds until fully melted.
  5. Poor the chocolate mixture over the date and peanut mixture and even out.
  6. Refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes or until the chocolate is firm. 
  7. Add sprinkle of sea salt on top
  8. Carefully cut into 12 bars and serve! 
  9. Store in fridge in a sealed container
