It is my understanding that a like or dislike for cilantro is a genetic trait. Apparently to those who dislike the herb, it has a soapy taste. Well, I got the LOVE gene for this fresh and yummy herb. So, to say I am obsessed with this Cilantro Yogurt Sauce recipe is an understatement.

As most of my recipes, this Cilantro Yogurt Sauce is super easy and only has 3 ingredients. Furthermore, it is ready in minutes. I do prefer to use a food processor for this as I find it blends more evenly but a blender is just as good.

This sauce can be used on so many different dishes. My husband used it tonight with his pork chops. While, his wife, the vegetarian (that’s me!) drizzled it on my grilled veggies. Both equally delicious!

Now I will admit that I am not a big garlic person. I know it’s crazy talk. But I always tend to reduce garlic in my recipes. So, feel free to add more. For this recipe I cut approximately ¼ of a small garlic clove and added it to the blender.

Tryout this fresh and healthy Cilantro Yogurt Sauce recipe. It is perfect for summer whether it be to serve with chips, veggies, meat or on salad! The options are endless.

Ingredients

½ cup plain Greek yogurt (I use low-fat)

½ cup of fresh cilantro

¼ small garlic clove (more if preferred)

Salt to taste

Instructions

Put all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend well. Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes or until ready to serve!
