Pilates is by far one of my favourite workouts. Prior to the pandemic I was instructing Pilates and kept up with my regular practice. However, when the pandemic hit and classes came to a halt, I drifted away from my regular practice and moved to HITT workouts. Now don’t get me wrong, HITT workouts are amazing! Without a doubt they provide awesome results. But much different results than pilates.
For me, Pilates workouts definitely help to slim down, tone up and stay limber. It should be noted that I am certainly not saying drop your cardio or HITT workouts but those should NOT be the only workouts you engage in. My unintentional break from Pilates reminded me of that. For this reason, I can’t stress enough the importance of mixing things up in your workouts! Include cardio, strength training, pilates and yoga all in a week’s worth of workouts.
Pilates is a great workout for weight loss and toning. Thus, if you are looking to achieve than I highly recommend these 5 workouts below. Remember to engage in these weekly along with your other activities for best results.
