Looking for a good midday snack to get you through the afternoon slump? Or maybe even something to satisfy an after-dinner sweet tooth. I’ll admit, I give these to my son after dinner and have him convinced that it’s dessert! These are the ultimate family favourite. I’m lucky if these protein balls last even 2 days in my household. The best part is they are quick and easy to make!
Ingredients
½ cup natural peanut butter (I use chunky)
½ cup oats
¼ cup honey (I use slightly less for firmer dough)
½ tsp vanilla
1 scoop protein powder (optional)
2 TBSP dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- If using protein powder mix it with the oats first in a medium bowl.
- Add peanut butter, honey, and vanilla. Mix until combined.
- Add chocolate chips and mix.
- Refrigerate for approximately 30 minutes (this will make the dough easier to roll)
- Using about 1 TBSP of dough roll into ball shapes and place in a sealed container and back into the fridge until you are ready to eat!
I hope you enjoy these as much as my family and I do!!
