This Lebanese Lemon Salad Dressing is probably one of my favourite salad dressings of all time. The ‘secret’ ingredient is sumac which gives it an all-dressed chip flavour for those who are familiar!
I use this dressing on my Fattoush Salad recipe along with a bowl of Crushed Lentil Soup. However, it would also be perfect on pasta salads, bean salads, drizzled on grilled veggies or even to dunk a little bread or pita in as an appetizer. Whichever way you choose to use this dressing recipe, I promise it won’t disappoint.
It only has a few simple ingredients which are fresh, vegan, and whole. Therefore, it is good for the wallet and for the waist.
I always say a good salad is in the dressing! So, if you are one who struggles to eat salads than give this dressing a whirl and it just might change your relationship with salads.
Ingredients
Juice of 1 lemon
1/4 cup olive oil
1 Tbsp ground sumac
1 clove minced garlic
2 Tbsp dry mint (optional)**
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Whisk all ingredients in a small bowl and pour on desired salad! Store in glass jar in refrigerator for up 5-7 days.
**Notes
**I like to add the mint directly onto the salad rather than in the dressing as it will mix easier this way
That’s all there is to it folks! Quick, easy, healthy and even vegan Lebanese Lemon Salad dressing. Try it in my Fattoush Salad recipe or any other salad for that matter!
