I’ve been doing Pilates for almost 20 years and after all this time I still love it! I’ve been a certified Pilates instructor for the last 10 years or so because of my passion for the practice. Despite my certification I still enjoy someone else teaching me a class. Although I do practice pilates on my own, I find my motivation is much higher when I am watching someone else do it. Since I’ve never been big on gym memberships, I quickly discovered the best online pilates workouts in my years of perusing Youtube.
What exactly is pilates? For those new to it Pilates is the practice of using the breath while engaging in controlled and intentional movements centered on the abdominal muscles (aka the core). Ultimately, the most common response I get from people who haven’t tried Pilates is “I won’t get a good sweaty workout from it”. I am here to challenge that way of thinking.
