Our family tradition is to have popcorn and movie night every Friday night! I have done this since I was young, and it is my favourite. Popcorn is my comfort food and all-time favourite snack. Of course, I only use my homemade Healthy Popcorn!
Undoubtedly, a must-have item in my kitchen is an air-popper. I use this Stir Crazy Popcorn Machine which I absolutely love. I have had it for upwards of 15 years and have had no issues. It pops almost every kernel and even the un-popped once are half popped to allow for easy chewing.
In general air-popped popcorn is such a healthy snack. However, the seasoning on this adds some extra benefits to this Healthy Popcorn.
Firstly, it includes turmeric which has so many amazing health benefits including but not limited to the following:
- Anti-inflammatory
- Antioxidant
- Improves digestion
Secondly, it also includes cinnamon which helps to give it a sweet flavour without adding any sugar.
Lastly, this Healthy Popcorn is free of sugar, completely vegan and gluten free. I love the Orville Redenbocher kernels which you can find here.
To make this recipe extra fancy and fun for the kids I purchased these adorable Popcorn Containers.
So, get your movie ready and start popping this delicious and healthy twist on popcorn!
